New York Red Bulls Head Coach Jesse Marsch Undertakes Coaching Courses

New York Red Bulls head coach Jesse Marsch is set to begin a second coaching course this week. In addition to being a part of the first U.S. Soccer Pro Course in 2017, Marsch also begins a UEFA course this week.

The course’s first session will cause him to miss Red Bulls training on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

“We fully support Jesse taking these courses. Our staff is fully capable of sharing the workload this week,” said Red Bulls Sporting Director Denis Hamlett. “Everyone within our club is aware of what our goals are, how we prepare during the week, and what we need to do to be at our best. It will be business as usual getting ready for Salt Lake.”

Chris Armas will run video and training sessions for the two days Marsch is away.

“I always want to better myself in terms of thinking about the game, and this is an excellent chance to see some of the philosophies being taught in Europe,” said Marsch. “I want to continually improve myself as a coach and pick up lessons or a bit of knowledge that I can bring back and implement.”

The New York Red Bulls host Real Salt Lake on Saturday, March 25 at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m., with coverage on UniMas and Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish.
