The Big Apple Fellowship

How to Nominate a Teacher
Do you know a public school teacher who deserves recognition? The nomination process is open to students, families, administrators, and community members.

Ways to Submit a Nomination
- Complete the Nomination Form.
- Email the teacher’s name and school details to bigappleteachers@schools.nyc.gov.
- Visit Big Apple Awards for more information.
- Speak with your school office or Family Engagement Coordinator for assistance.
Honoring Big Apple Award Recipients
Award winners are surprised with a visit from the NYC Schools Chancellor and leadership team, often celebrated in their classrooms with students and colleagues. Winners are also recognized in a city-wide ceremony that showcases their achievements and contributions to education.
