Celebrates Big Civil Court Win

“I am honored and grateful to share that I have won the Democratic Primary for Kings County Civil Court Judge.

This was not an easy road. From the start, I faced intense opposition, including legal challenges in the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, and Court of Appeals, all aimed at removing me from the ballot. At every level, we prevailed because the law and the will of the people were on our side.  My campaign manager Musa Moore and I thank you for standing with us.

I was the only Asian candidate running against three accomplished women. This victory is historic, as it makes me one of only a small number of members of the Asian community ever elected to the bench in Kings County. It demonstrates that our courts—and our democracy—can and should reflect the rich diversity of Brooklyn.

To everyone who believed in this campaign—who volunteered, contributed, and stood with me through every challenge—thank you. We could not have done this without the support of communities across Brooklyn. 

I look forward to the opportunity to serve all the people of Kings County with fairness, integrity, and respect.”
