New York City’s real estate market experienced notable shifts in 2024, with median sale prices rebounding by 3% year-over-year (Y-o-Y) to $748,000. While sales activity across the city stayed relatively flat, certain neighborhoods saw dramatic changes in prices and transactions. Below, we explore the top 50 most expensive neighborhoods in NYC and highlight key trends that defined the year.

Hudson Yards Leads NYC for the Sixth Year

Hudson Yards maintained its dominance as the priciest neighborhood in NYC for the sixth consecutive year, setting a record with a $7.13 million annual median sale price, up 22% Y-o-Y. However, sales activity nearly halved, with only 24 transactions—all condos.

Other Manhattan hotspots followed, with TriBeCa ($3.3M) and SoHo ($3.1M) rounding out the top three despite mixed sales trends. NoLita stood out with a 50% Y-o-Y price surge, climbing to a $2.4M median sale price.
