Owner Andrew Walcott said the idea came directly from listening to customers and observing the realities many families face.  The $7 meal is only for takeout, which aligns with the concept of taking the food home and eating dinner with your family.

“I wanted to offer something that feels like real dinner, a vegetable, a protein, and a carb, for a price people in the neighborhood can actually manage,” Walcott said. “It’s a balanced meal, and it’s real food.”

Rather than framing the $7 meal as a limited-time promotion, Fusion East is positioning it as a steady option for residents who need predictability when managing food expenses alongside rent, utilities, and transportation.

For customers, the value goes beyond the price point. One regular patron described the impact of the meal in simple terms.
