Nikki Lucas Hosts East New
York Easter Hat Pageant

Brooklyn, NY — Assemblywoman Nikki Lucas, in partnership with Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, will host the 10th Annual Easter Hat Pageant and Luncheon on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the Brooklyn Sports Club, located at 1540 Van Siclen Ave. The event brings together seniors from across the 60th Assembly District for an afternoon of celebration, fellowship, and community connection.

Hundreds of seniors are expected to attend the annual gathering, which will include a luncheon, music, entertainment, door prizes, and the popular Easter hat pageant. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in the Ladies’ Dazzling Bonnet Contest and the Gentlemen’s Dashing Hat Competition, showcasing creativity, style, and self-expression.

Hosted by Lisa Lashley, Esq., the event is made possible through partnerships with community organizations and local sponsors dedicated to supporting seniors in East New York. Over the years, the Easter Hat Pageant and Luncheon has become a cherished tradition in the district, giving older adults an opportunity to reconnect with neighbors, celebrate the season, and enjoy the strength of community.
