Kings County Civil Court Candidate, Janice Purvis Secures a Spot on the Ballot, Thanks Brooklyn for Unwavering Support

With an overwhelming outpouring of community support, Janice Purvis has officially earned a place on the ballot in her campaign for Kings County Civil Court Judge. Backed by more than 11,000 signatures from Brooklyn residents, Purvis says this moment reflects the borough’s belief in a more equitable and compassionate justice system.

“Brooklyn — thank you,” said Purvis. “Your support means everything to me. From every street corner to community center, I’ve had the honor of hearing your hopes, your concerns, and your dreams for a fairer future. This campaign belongs to all of us.”

Janice Purvis, a longtime advocate for justice, says she is running to bring balance, fairness, and community understanding to the courtroom. Her next focus is continuing to meet with voters across the borough, ensuring every neighborhood has a chance to engage in open conversation about the issues that matter most.

Early Voting in New York City begins June 14 and ends June 22, leading up to Primary Day on June 24.

“In this pivotal time for our city, it’s more important than ever that we elect judges who see and serve the people,” Purvis added. “Let’s make our voices heard at the polls.”
