Gotlieb Brings Experience
to Supreme Court Bid

Brooklyn, NY – Today, Judge Brian L. Gotlieb officially launched his campaign for Kings County Supreme Court. Judge Gotlieb, who currently serves on the Civil Court bench, brings extensive legal experience and a lifelong commitment to fairness, community service, and leadership across Brooklyn.

Elected to Civil Court in 2022, Judge Gotlieb has presided over jury trials, managed complex caseloads, and mentored fellow judges. He also represents Kings County on the citywide Civil Court Case Streamlining Committee and co-chairs the Civil Kings Trial Committee.

“I am running for Kings County Supreme Court to ensure that every person who enters the courtroom is treated with dignity, fairness, and respect,” said Judge Gotlieb. “The Supreme Court decides some of the most important and complex cases in Brooklyn, and I will bring the same preparation, compassion, and integrity that I bring to the Civil Court bench each day.”

In addition to his judicial service, Judge Gotlieb has been widely recognized for his decades of community service throughout Brooklyn.  From serving on Community Board 13 and Community School Board 21,  to founding Shorefront Toys for Tots in honor of his late mother -- which has supported more than 50,000 children -- he has consistently dedicated himself to improving schools, public safety, housing, and neighborhood resources.

“My mother taught me the importance of helping others and giving back,” Judge Gotlieb added. “Serving on the Supreme Court is an extension of that lesson -- making sure justice is not just about the law, but about people and the communities we serve.”
