Kota the Friend’s No Rap on Sunday 20-City US Tour Kicks Off in Florida on Aug 28 and Ends in Brooklyn on His Birthday in October
Brooklyn, NY – August 26, 2025 – Independent hip hop star Kota the Friend kicks off his No Rap on Sunday Tour this week in Florida, beginning Thursday, August 28 in Tampa, with stops across 20 U.S. cities. The tour will conclude in Brooklyn, NY on October 16, a special night that also marks Kota’s birthday.
The tour builds on the success of Kota’s No Rap on Sunday album, which debuted with exclusive fan access on the EVEN platform. Kota stated, “Every project I drop is more than just music—it’s a way to connect with my people on a deeper level. With No Rap on Sunday, I wanted to give fans something special from day one, starting with early access and extending into this tour.”

Kota also launched the No Rap on Sunday Verse Challenge, giving independent artists the chance to create their own verse for the album’s title track. Winners in select cities will open for Kota and receive a special feature from him on their next song. “This is about shining a light on independent artists who are out here grinding just like I was,” Kota told NYC Newswire. “If I can help them get seen and heard by new audiences, then we all win.”
