NYC Reaches 200,000 Pothole Repairs in Brooklyn

New York City has reached 200,000 pothole repairs for the year, marking the milestone on Troutman Street in Brooklyn’s Bushwick neighborhood. NY Bill Would Ban Sales of Illegal High-Speed E-Motos

New York lawmakers have introduced legislation targeting the sale and marketing of high-speed electric vehicles that do not meet state requirements for legal e-bikes and scooters. Senate Bill S.10700, sponsored by State Senator Kristen Gonzalez, would establish definitions for e-motos and electric off-highway motorcycles while restricting how certain vehicles can be sold and advertised. The legislation would also require consumer warnings and address retailers that market noncompliant vehicles as conventional e-bikes or scooters. NYC Invests $4M to Expand Public Bathrooms Citywide

NYC DOT: 20 Gridlock Alert Days Through 2026 Holidays

New Yorkers should prepare for some of Manhattan’s most challenging traffic conditions beginning September 21, when the United Nations General Assembly brings heightened security, street closures and increased congestion to Midtown. NYC DOT has designated 20 Gridlock Alert Days through December, covering the five-day UN gathering as well as heavily traveled dates during the holiday season. Traffic around Midtown can become especially slow during UN General Assembly week, making subway, bus, rail, ferry, cycling and walking options more practical for many trips. The remaining alert dates are concentrated in November and December, when holiday events, tourism and seasonal activity add pressure to Manhattan streets. Motorists traveling into or through the area should anticipate delays and consider alternative transportation.
