A New Live Music Destination in East Brooklyn
Fusion East is currently one of the only restaurant and bar venues in the East Brooklyn area offering both high-quality cuisine and regularly scheduled live band performances. The goal of the new series is to make the restaurant a gathering place for music lovers looking for live R&B and jazz without traveling to Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn.
The venue sits near the Gateway area of East New York, one of Brooklyn’s fastest-growing residential communities, making it a convenient destination for residents in East New York, Brownsville, Canarsie, and surrounding neighborhoods, including parts of Queens.
The series is supported by Brooklyn Buzz and EatandDrink.NYC, media platforms that highlight restaurants, nightlife, and events across Brooklyn.
Cal Jones, Managing Partner of JIG Media, who oversees operations for Brooklyn Buzz and EatandDrink.NYC, said the live music series reflects the strong relationships built with musicians throughout the city.
“New York City has an incredible pool of musicians, but many neighborhoods don’t have places where full bands can regularly perform,” said Cal Jones, Managing Partner of JIG Media. “Fusion East is filling that gap in East Brooklyn. Because of the relationships we’ve built with artists across the city, we’re able to bring in bands that audiences already know and love while introducing new talent to the community.”
Jones, who works closely with musicians and band leaders throughout New York, helped curate the lineup for the new series.
“These are real bands with real followings across the city,” Jones added. “People can come out, enjoy great Caribbean and soul food, have drinks at the bar, and experience the kind of live music energy that usually requires traveling to Manhattan or downtown Brooklyn.”
Organizers believe the series will quickly become one of the most popular things to do in East New York Brooklyn during the week, giving residents a place to gather for live music, food, and community.
