Currently a tenured professor of Law and Government at Medgar Evers College, Mayers specializes in criminal and administrative law and public policy. His efforts in bail reform and civil rights have earned him widespread respect in both legal and academic circles.
Mayers’ public service includes two terms as a senior policy advisor in New York City’s mayoral office, overseeing initiatives in education, youth development, housing, and small business services.
