Jaime Williams Secures $12.5M for Local Communities

Assemblymember Jaime Williams announced that more than $12.5 million has been secured for projects and programs serving residents throughout the 59th Assembly District. The funding supports local schools, Kingsborough Community College initiatives, Bildersee Playground improvements, homeowner assistance programs, public safety efforts, senior and youth services, small business support, environmental restoration projects, and community organizations. Williams said the investments reflect the value of community partnerships and pledged to continue working with residents, civic groups, schools, and nonprofits to bring additional resources to Canarsie, Flatlands, Marine Park, Mill Basin, Mill Island, Bergen Beach, Georgetown, and Gerritsen Beach.

Assemblymember Jaime Williams is rejecting political distractions and misinformation while reaffirming her focus on affordability and quality-of-life issues impacting Southeast Brooklyn communities including Canarsie, Flatlands, Mill Basin, Bergen Beach, and Gerritsen Beach. Williams also highlighted her record supporting homeowners and renters by fighting against rising taxes, tolls, congestion pricing, and policies that could increase housing costs. Jaime Williams Hosts Brooklyn Pet Adoption Day

Assemblywoman Jaime Williams is partnering with Animal Care Centers of NYC and Animal Pantry to host an “I Love My Pet Day” community pet adoption event in Brooklyn. The event will feature adoptable pets, pet owner resources, and free giveaways while helping connect local animals with loving homes and supporting responsible pet ownership throughout the community.
